AlwaysOnPC is glad to announce that we’ve added a key app to the list of pre-installed apps: Adobe Reader.
xUpdate: This also now includes the Firefox add-on that allows you to view PDF documents and fill in PDF forms online. We have corporate / enterprise customers testing this now to enable them to deploy their internal IT apps directly from iPad or iPhone. These customers have custom database back-ends that use the Adobe reader PDF forms as the front-end user interface. These don’t run on iPad or iPhone and would require coding new apps for each platform. Instead, they are looking at AlwaysOnPC to solve this problem for them.
The Adobe Reader is now available to all new and current customers! No update or up/downloading is required -it’ll be there the next time you login!
You can launch Adobe Reader Firefox plug in by simply visiting a PDF via your browser. Here’s a quick video showing a simple demonstration:
You can also run the native app from the Applications menu in the bottom left corner of your AlwaysOnPC: Applications –> Office –> Adobe Reader
Please send feedback to firstname.lastname@example.org and tell us how its working, and what you’re using it for. Or have another app you need? Let us know!
